| Our dream is a reality! Everything is the house is exactly as we planned, and it pulled together perfectly. The "shake down cruise" ensured that the house and casita work for groups, with and without kids, and that the house is comfortable and practical.

SECURITY ALERT: We've been asked by guests and potential guests about safety in the area. Please rest assured, the recent warnings and media articles about travel to Mexico have been misleading. The dangerous places are primarily US/Mexico border towns, not the Maya Riviera or Akumal area. In addition, the problems have involved members of the cartels and the authorities, not tourists. While traveling to the Akumal area, you might see military patrols, which have always been around to thwart drug trade; this is not new. Drug trafficking is a common issue Mexico faces, and their primary goal is to stop it. Tourism is the lifeline of the Riviera Maya, and the government is doing everything it can to make sure the area stays crime free for your safety.
